We started with commercial vehicle pads in 2003 and have not left the brake corner since. The range grew from one formula to sixteen, from pads to discs, and from a domestic supplier to a hundred export markets.
History
Four moments that shaped the range.
Each one added a capability the previous stage could not offer — a second product line, a brand, a consolidated plant, a rotor.
Commercial vehicle pads first
The plant opened in Gucheng County building pads for vans, trucks and buses — the segment where a part is judged on wear life and price, not on shelf appeal.
SUPERSTOP, with a Spanish partner
Work with Rosset introduced a European ceramic approach and produced our own passenger car brand, positioned above the unbranded range.
Production brought back to Hengshui
Capacity that had been running at a Qingdao base was consolidated into the Hebei plant, putting pad and mould production on one site.
A disc division
Acquiring a disc manufacturer added rotors to the range — and made it possible to quote a friction pair, not just a pad.
Two names
Huachen makes it. SUPERSTOP is what your customer reads on the box.
Huachen is the manufacturer — the name on the contract, the invoice and the certificate of origin. SUPERSTOP is our own brand, in distribution since 2015 and stocked by distributors who want a label with a story rather than a plain carton.
Both go out of the same plant, on the same formulas. For private label programmes the box carries your brand instead — artwork, carton and language all specified by you.
Production
Where the formula becomes a part.
Four stages between the raw materials and the carton. Each one has a record attached to the batch.
Mixing
Friction materials batched by formula, with the mix held to the same specification run after run.
Pressing & curing
Backing plate, adhesive and friction block pressed to shape, then cured to set the resin.
Finishing
Chamfer, slot, shim and coating — the details that decide noise and fit.
Inspection & packing
Dimensional checks, batch marking, then packing to the artwork you approved.
Coverage
95% of the parc is a mould bank, not a slogan.
Coverage is decided by how many references you can tool for, and how fast you can add one. Two thousand moulds in house is what makes the number real.

European, Japanese, Korean and American platforms, including light SUV and pickup applications.
Commercial vehicle
Vans, light trucks, trucks and buses — the applications the plant was built on.
Adding a reference
Send the OE number and a sample drawing where you have one. New tooling is quoted with the lead time attached to it, not after the order.
